Joshua Charles is one of the rising stars of the Millennial generation. A bestselling author, historian, researcher, and international speaker, he is a passionate defender of America’s Founding Principles, Judeo-Christian civilization, and the Catholic faith, to which he converted in 2018. He loves telling, and helping others tell, great stories that communicate great truths.
Joshua’s three great purposes are as follows:
(1) Be an “Apostle of Liberty” (spiritual, political, economic);
(2) Raise the dead to life (bring the wisdom of the past into the present); and
(3) Make Wisdom Popular (help regular people think deeply about the great issues of life and the world).
Joshua’s first book, The Original Argument: The Federalists’ Case for the Constitution, was a #1 New York Times Bestseller. His second book, Liberty’s Secrets: The Lost Wisdom of America’s Founders, was a #1 Amazon Bestseller in multiple categories. He also co-authored the book God, Israel, and You: The Scandalous Story of a Faithful God, and served as the Concept Developer and Senior Editor for The Global Impact Bible, published by the Museum of the Bible. He recently served as the Editor for the forthcoming book, Peoples of Covenant: A Reader on Catholic-Jewish Relations, and is the Senior Editor for the forthcoming book, The Faith and Liberty Bible, a study Bible highlighting the role of faith in American history. His conversion story appears in the 2018 book, Mind, Heart, and Soul: Intellectuals and the Path to Rome, edited by Princeton professors Robert P. George, and R.J. Snell.
He has written and edited numerous other books, and he or his work have appeared in outlets such as Fox News, the Salem Radio Network, CBN, the Jerusalem Post, the Times of Israel, The Federalist, The Stream, the Washington Times, WND, PragerU, The Blaze, Catholic Vote, Regnery Publishing, and others. He has also directed/contributed to projects, or spoken for organizations such as Simon & Schuster, the American Bible Society, the Faith and Liberty Discovery Center, Hobby Lobby, Worthy Books, the Philos Project, WND Books, TAN Books, the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, William Jessup University, Ambassador Advertising, K-Love Radio, the Gatestone Institute, the Middle East Forum, Mercury Radio Arts, the Rotary Club, Thomas More College, Ashland University, Colorado Christian University, Regent University, Eagle Forum, and others.
Joshua has also ghost-written numerous articles and speeches, and worked on several book projects of major executives in both the corporate and non-profit worlds.
Joshua holds an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance (he is a concert pianist who has performed throughout the US and Europe, including for two Supreme Court Justices), an M.A. in Government with a certificate in Global Politics, and a J.D. (law degree). He is an Israel Experience Scholar, a former member of the Council for National Policy, and a Tikvah Fellow.
Many of Joshua’s friends describe him as a “Renaissance Man.” He loves to read, travel, practice new pieces at his grand piano, and write. In truth, it takes only a few things to make him happy: faith, family, friends, books, and whenever possible, seeing fascinating places around the world (he’s traveled to over 20 countries on every continent except Antarctica).
